About Justin

Justin and his wife, Kaylee, currently reside in the suburbs of Chicago where he has been the Elementary Director, Camp Director, and now the Interim Children's Ministry Director at Parkview Community Church. Having spent most of his life in the deserts of Nevada and Arizona, many people often ask why he would ever come to the Midwest. While Justin certainly hates cold and grey winters, he continues to affirm that he felt called to the Chicago area, specifically to Parkview Community Church, and has experienced incredible growth since following that call.

A few fun facts about Justin are that he is an avid hammocker and typically has a hammock handy at almost any moment. He has developed a few random talents like playing the ukulele and yo-yo-ing that are effective at entertaining kids, a key part of his job at times. Justin's greatest passion is finding ways to eliminate barriers to people seeking to know Christ.

DISC Assessment - The Contemplator

  • Contemplators are analytical and logical people. They are driven to do the best, and they think there is always room for improvement. Contemplators tend to be competitive and want to have the best quality job done.

  • Contemplators are sensitive to people, but the logical, task-oriented side can take over quite easily. Justin strives to do the best for others. Contemplators care about others, but may seem unemotional. Contemplators are centered on "the facts" and while they have good intentions, they may lose sight of what is best for people while focusing on protocol, facts and details.
